Jonathan McReynolds was born Jonathan Caleb McReynolds on September 17, 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was raised by a single mother and learned to play the drums and the piano at the age of five and eight respectively. He has a brother named Chaz. He had his high school education at Whitney Young Magnet School, where he learned how to record and produce music. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in music at Columbia College and a masters degree in Biblical studies from Moody Theological Seminary.
Jonathan McReynolds began his music career in 2012 with the release of Life Music through Entertainment One Music. He came to limelight for his single “No Gray”.
He has five studio albums to his credit; Life Music (2012), Life Music: Stage two (2015), Make Room (2018), People (2020), My Truth (2023)
He won the the Grammy award in 2021. He also boast of fifteen Stellar awards, four GMA Dove awards, and five Grammy award nominations.
