Cristina Serra was born in 1973 in Manresa, Spain to Brazilian parents, Josep Serra Boada and Montserrat Selvas Tarre. She obtained a degree in Journalism at the University of Barclona.
She is from a background of fashion designers as her grandfather started the “Serra Claret” label, in 1933 at Manresa, Catalonia. The family business grew to be one of the popular fashion scene of Catalonia. She joined the business and gave the label a more contemporary touch.
She began her career as a journalist before she became a fashion designer.
She also had a guest appearance on several Spanish television shows in 1990s
Cristina met Pep Guardiola in 1990, in their family’s fashion store, Serra Claret, in Barcelona before they got married.
