Tate McRae was born Tate Rosner McRae on July 1, 2003, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her father is a Canadian of Scottish descent and her mother is of German descent. She attended American International School Muscat and Western Canada High School.
She developed her passion with musical influences from the likes of Ariana Grande, Khalid, Post Malone, Jessie Reyez, and so on. Her inspirations for infusing Dance into her performances could be traced to the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears. She also name Julia Michael’s, Taylor Swift and Alec Benjamin as those behind her songwriting inspirations.
